Health and Well-Being of Senate District 35 Communities

Our mission is to empower the residents of Senate District 35 with sustainable economic opportunities that improve their lives and our communities. We accomplish this by promoting livable wages and implementing attractive incentives for businesses to come and expand our district. My mission is to put people before politics. My major goals are to focus on social policies and economics to improve housing, education, employment, mental health, and social equality for all district residents. Specifically, I am looking to improve the social well-being of residents and improve the relationship between law enforcement and minority communities via mutual respect and understanding.
I will continue to advocate for social programs for the homeless and the disadvantaged individuals to ensure that all residents find themselves on equal footing. Through my long career as a community organizer, education, healthcare, and social justice leader, I have the experience needed to maximize the changes in our communities. You need a Senator  that will support your ideas, fight for the needs of your community and earn your respect. For someone who truly cares for our community, look no further!
Accomplishments in healthcare and community outreach:
From 1998-2004, I successfully secured federal funding to build two Health & Dignity Centers (School-Based Clinics) on the campus of two elementary schools in partnership with the local school districts. One of these clinics was made possible thanks to the efforts of a Congresswoman who brought in $500,000 in 2005
As Chairman of the Annual Health Fair & 5K, I have been a strong advocate for promoting health and wellness in the district. I have also been a vocal supporter of the partnership with Telehealth Vans program, which provides access to medical services to underserved communities.
I have worked tirelessly to promote partnerships with Providence Little Company of Mary, Cedar Sinai Medical Center, and Kaiser Foundation to bring healthcare programs to our communities and  elementary schools. These partnerships have been instrumental in improving access to healthcare services for residents in the community.
I remain committed to improving the health and well-being of Senate District 35 and look forward to continuing my work in this area.
